Fase 1: la Raccolta Fondi

Margherita è una bambina nata con la spina bifida, una malformazione congenita della colonna vertebrale.
E' tornata in cielo l' 8 marzo dello scorso anno all'età di otto anni.
Margherita rappresenta per noi la forza, la bellezza e la gioia di vivere e crediamo che il suo ricordo debba diventare un progetto concreto legato alla vita .
Per questo costruiremo, a suo nome, un pozzo per l'erogazione di Acqua potabile in una delle molte parti del mondo dove l' Acqua non è ancora una risorsa accessibile a tutti : il Mali.

Il progetto 'Pozzo Margherita' comincia nel 2019:
inizierà con la prossima MenoMaliTrip2019 del progetto MenoMali dell’associazione RCMA e l’associazione Friends for Water dal 15 al 25 Marzo in Mali.
L' esperienza tecnica e la profonda conoscenza del territorio in cui entrambe operano ormai da molti anni, ci permetterà di poter scegliere il villaggio e riuscire a realizzare il Pozzo.

Fase 2: la scelta del villaggio

Condividiamo i risultati del sopralluogo effettuato da Camara ( nostro fidato collaboratore locale) in quattro villaggi precedentemente identificati dal MenoMaliMap.

Condurre un sopralluogo in un villaggio non significa solo osservare e fotografare lo stato dei luoghi.

E' fondamentale presentare se stessi, spiegare per quale motivo si è giunti proprio li', parlare con gli abitanti ed il capo villaggio, farsi raccontare le loro storie.

Chiedere, tra i molti bisogni , quale viene considerato fondamentale per il futuro di tutta la comunità.

1. Primo villaggio: DJAMENELA - Regione Koulikoro

Abitanti: 600
Famiglie: 40Da qualche mese l' organizzazione www.wvi.org ha realizzato, accanto a quello tradizionale, un pozzo artesiano (visibile nella prima foto)

2. Secondo villaggioo : DJAMBALLA - Regione Koulikoro

Abitanti: 400
Famiglie: non specificato
Gli abitanti chiedono che venga realizzato un pozzo per l'acqua potabile

3. Terzo villaggio : QUELEDO - Regione Koulikoro

Abitanti: 150
Famiglie: 10
Gli abitanti chiedono che venga realizzato un pozzo per l'acqua potabile

4. Quarto villaggio: BROUKOUN - Regione Koulikoro

Abitanti: 800
Famiglie: 35
Broukoun è un grande villaggio cui spesso confluiscono gli abitanti di una serie di villaggi limitrofi.

Anche Broukoun ha bisogno di un pozzo per l' acqua potabile ma la comunità ha indicato come priorità assoluta, per il futuro della comunità stessa, la realizzazione di una scuola.
Attualmente i bambini svolgono le attività scolastiche su banchi improvvisati coperti da un tetto di paglia.
Broukoun ha bisogno anche di un nuovo ponte : durante la stagione delle piogge, spesso viene sommerso dall' acqua rendendo molto pericoloso (talvolta addirittura impossibile) l' accesso al villaggio.

Ogni giorno riceviamo nuove donazioni.
Ogni giorno cresce in noi la fiducia di poter realizzare, grazie al vostro aiuto, più di un progetto per questi villaggi: partendo dal Pozzo Margherita, andremo avanti!

Alla fine la scelta cade sul secondo villaggio DJAMBALLA.

Fase 3-10: la costruzione del pozzo

Abbiamo seguito la costruzione del pozzo nell amissione MenoMaliTrip2019bis seguendo passo passo i lavori delle diverse squadre.

Cari amici,
è una grande gioia potervi mostrare, a pochi giorni dalla nostra partenza dal villaggio, le immagini del pozzo ultimato.
Sembra una delle piccole case che sorgono nel villaggio, solo un po' più bassa, con due porte e senza tetto!
È il pozzo Margherita e da oggi può essere utilizzato!
Grazie al nostro Camara, che ha seguito con cura ed attenzione i lavori, tornando al villaggio più volte dopo la nostra partenza, tutto è stato realizzato come da progetto:
Le mura in mattoni di Banko e cemento che permettono di accedere alla pompa da due lati, il lungo canale di scolo e l'abbeveratoio per gli animali.
La targa 'pozzo Margherita ' realizzata da un artigiano a Kati, svetta stabile e fiera sul lato corto del pozzo, quello orientato a nord, dove c'è la stella polare .
Gli anziani, i giovani le donne ed i bambini di Djamballa bevono acqua pura.

Sabato scorso prima di lasciare Djamballa, André e Konare ci hanno parlato dell'intenzione del villaggio di realizzare una piccola scuola per i propri bimbi. Ci hanno condotto nel largo rettangolo di terra in cui vorrebbero sorgesse e mostrato lo scheletro della struttura (un parallelepipedo di circa 32 mq) fatto di tronchi d'albero e tetto di foglie secche di granturco.
Oggi Camara giunto di nuovo al villaggio per conferire ufficialmente al comitato del pozzo le istruzioni sull'uso e la corretta manutenzione della pompa per fini esclusivamente non agricoli, ha ricevuto dal capo del villaggio una ufficiale richiesta per il MenoMali:
La fornitura di un buon tetto con struttura in legno e finitura in lamiera per la loro futura scuola.

Step 1: Fundraising

Margherita is a child born with spina bifida, a congenital malformation of the vertebral column.

She came back to heaven on the 8th March last year, she was eight years old.
Margherita represents for us the strength, the beauty and the joy of life and we believe that her memory must become a concrete project connected with life.

This is the reason why we will build, in her name, a well for the supply of drinking Water in one of the many parts of the world where Water is not yet an accessible resource to everyone: Mali.

The ' Pozzo Margherita' project begins this year:
We will travel to Mali within the next mission MenoMaliTrip2019 of the MenoMali project of the RCMA association and in collaboration with Friends for Water association, from March 15th to 25th.

The technical experience and the deep knowledge of the territory, where both the associations have been operating for many years, will allow us to choose the village and to build the water well.

Step 2: Choose the village

Dear friends,

we want to share with you the report of Camara, our trusted local collaborator, who visited last Saturday four villages identified trough the MenoMaliMap.

Visiting a village means not only walking around taking photos and videos but, primarily, introducing himself, talking with the villagers and their chief and asking what they are needing at most for their community.

1. First village: DJAMENELA - Region Koulikoro

Families: 40

This is a big village gathering people from different small villages nearby.

Broukoun needs drinkable water as well, however the villagers asked for a school which now is just some benches under a straw-canopy . This is the priority they asked for their children.
For the future of their own community.
They asked also for a new bridge: during the rain-season it goes underwater and reaching the village is very difficult and not safe.

Everyday we receive new donations.

We are pretty sure that we will be able to realise soon more than one project. Thanks to all of you, starting from Pozzo Margherita, going forward...

At the end we choose DJAMBALLA.

Phase 3-10: building the water well

Dear friends, it is a great joy showing you just a few days after our departure, the images of the water well completed. It looks like one of the small houses of the village, just a little bit lower, with two doors and no roof!
This is the Margherita well and can now be finally used!

Thanks to our Camara, which has followed the works with care and attention, driving back and forth to the village several times after we left, everything was done as planned: The walls made of Banko's bricks and cement allow the access to the pump from two sides, the long drainage channel and the trough for animals are also perfectly realised.
The plate 'Margherita well ' made by a craftsman in Kati, stands up stable and fair on the short side of the well, the one oriented north, where there is the polar star .
The elderly, the young, the women and the children of Djamballa can drink now clear water.

Last Saturday before leaving Djamballa, André and Konare told us about the village’s intention to build a small school for their children. They led us into the wide rectangle of land where they would like to build the school and showed us the 'skeleton' of the structure (a parallelepiped of about 32 square meters) made of tree trunks and shelded by a roof of dried leaves of maize.
Today Camara came back to the village to explain to the committee of the well how to use properly the pump ment to be used for non-agricultural purposes only.
He has received from the head of the village an official request for MenoMali:
Help them to build the school providing a good roof with wooden structure and sheet roofing.
The Mission goes on....

Phase 1: la colette de Fonds

Margherita est une petite fille née avec la spina-bifida, une malformation de la colonne vertébrale.
Elle nous a quitté le 8 mars de l'année dérnière à l'âge de 8 ans.
Margherita représente pour nous la force, la beauté et la joie de vivre et nous croyons que son souvenir doit devenir un projet concret lié à la vie.
C'est pourquoi nous allons construire, à son nom, un puits d'Eau potable dans une des zones dans le monde où l'Eau n'est pas encore une resource accéssible à tous: au Mali.

Le projet 'Pozzo Margherita' commence en 2019:
ça va commencer avec la prochaine mission MenoMaliTrip2019 du projet MenoMali de l'association RCMA et l’association Friends for Water du 15 al 25 Mars au Mali.

L' expérience technique et la profonde connaissance du territoire des deux associations qu'y opèrent depuis des années, vont nous permettre de choisir le village où pouvoir construire le puits.

Phase 2: le choix du village

Voilà les résultats de la mission effectuée par Camara ( notre collaborateur au Mali) dans les 4 villages déjà identifié par le MenoMaliMap.

Une mission n'est pas uniquement aller observer et photographier les lieux.

C'est fondamentale se présenter, expliquer pour quel motif on se retrouve en pleine bousse chez eux, parler avec le comité des anciens et le chef du village.

Demander qeuls sont les besoins fondamentqux por la comunauté.

Broukounest un grand village oà arrivent aussi les habitans des villages voisins.

Aussi Broukoun aurait besoin d0un forage mais la comunauté nous indique une priorité fondamentale: lécole. Actuellement les enfant font leur activités scolaire danun paiotte avec qeulques bancs.

Broukoun a besoin qussi d0un nouveau ponto: pendant l'hivernage l'acccée est limité et sans ce pont il sont coupé su reste du monde.

Nous recevons vos donations chaque jour, et ceci nous donnex confiance pour réaliser beucoups plus à partir du Pozzo Margherita!
